- Excavated trench chainage 0+220 to 0+260 to design level RL 12.4 (40 lin.m).
- Imported and compacted bedding (Type 1, 150mm thickness) — density test sample taken (T-064-A).
- Laid 600mm RCP pipes, 8 lengths × 2.4m, joints sealed and inspected by SE.
- Backfilled to 300mm cover with select fill, compacted to 95% MDD (T-064-B taken).
- Removed approx 14m³ unsuitable spoil to authorised tip (ticket #A0418-A0420).

10:40 — Found existing 50mm comms duct at chainage 0+248 not shown on dial-before-you-dig records. Work paused 25 min. Telco contacted (ref TLC-2026-3318). Confirmed in-service. Diverted comms duct above pipe, hand-excavated around it. Notified consulting engineer (verbal). To be drawn on as-built. Photos #003–#006 taken.
Visitor / inspection
13:30 — J. Park (Engineer of Record) attended for routine inspection of pipe bedding and joint sealing. Walked chainage 0+220 to 0+260. No defects raised. Verbal approval to backfill. Inspection report INSP-022 logged.

14:15 — J. Park: pause RCP laying past chainage 0+340 until RFI-018 (flow rate assumption) resolved. Acknowledged. Crew to focus on chainages 0+260 to 0+340 from Thu.
